Two new nameservers
Recently, two name servers were added to our network. Dns-us1.powerdns.net (Fremont, CA, USA) and dns-us2.powerdns.net (Newark, NJ, USA) will help maintain constant reliability of our technical infrastructure.
Brand new management console
Our new interface has been updated to reflect more recent web standard. We also added support for TXT, SRV and NAPTR records.
Management API
This API, which is based on the SOAP protocol, can be used to remotely manage your domain names that are listed in your PowerDNS Express Control Panel. To use this API, a key is required. This key can be obtained by logging into your Control Panel and clicking on “API Access” in the left-hand menu.
New pricing
Every new domain is free for the first 6 months. Payment is now done per domain, and no longer package-based.
In addition, PowerDNS Express prices are lowered considerably.
New payment methods
It is now possible to pay using PayPal, VISA and Mastercard. This allows users from countries for which PayPal is not available, to make use of our excellent service.
